We spent the first four days in Abb.otsford, then headed to Van.couver for the week. My friend K's apartment complex has a suite guests can stay in, right in the West End. It was perfect.
We met up with B's mum and dad (on the last stop on their big holiday) and showed them the sites. We hit Stanley Park and took a carriage ride around it, spent an afternoon at The Aquarium and drove them up to Whistler the next day. Unfortunately they were there for the bad weather but they thought B.C. was beautiful nonetheless.
The next half of our city stay was spent doing a lot of walking. B hadn't spent a lot of time in Van on previous trips so it was great to get around and show it off this time. B appreciated it!
We spent the last part of our trip back at my Mom's. B got into the routine of walking the twins down to the park down the road, where my dad would meet him most days. I joined them too, more often than not. I caught up with a few friends and even became a godmother to my friend R's son Alex.
B had his very first Thanksgiving lunch - it was even t-shirt weather that day! My family put together a delicious lunch and thank you to AJ for hosting!
We all made it home safely (and we didn't kill each other). Air NZ came through for us once again - we were upgraded to economy plus between Auckland and Melbourne - finally, yay!! We sat in comfort and even watched half a movie :)
We're back in B.endigo now, so I'll write a bit more about that later. For now, more photos.
