In Preparation

B sent off all the forms for his Canadian permanent residency this week.  Im having flashbacks of form upon form, police checks and medicals but it's all sorted for him now and in the mail.

Canadian immigration says it takes from 3-6 months so it'll just be a waiting game for now.  In the meantime there is a possibility of a few exchanges coming up through his work this month.  This time the plan is to apply for one in B.C. if any come up.  Until then we'll be sitting back and enjoying the upcoming Australian summer.

On another note I've received my Australian passport!  No more line-ups at borders for me!
