My friend W and I have fostered a new, and very exclusive, club in Melbourne - The Melbourne Restaurant Club. The idea behind the club is to gather friends together to enjoy the best restaurants this city has to offer.
Our first culinary experience was last Friday night at a restaurant called 312 in Carlton. Eight of us partook in their 7 course degustation menu which included a(n):
Clair de Lune Oyster
Asparagus Salad
White Onion Soup, Seared Scallop, Ginger, Abalone & Sorrel
MacLeay Valley Rabbit with Cracked Wheat, Pistachio & Date
Roast & Braised Lamb
Blue Cheese served with Quince & Oat Biscuit
Poached Rhubarb, Vanilla Custard, Ginger Beer Sorbet & Meringue
It's not hard to guess that it was mouth-watering; there wasn't a single dish we didn't enjoy. In the end we all picked our favorites and, believe it or not, mine was the melt-in-your-mouth lamb.

long way from no sauce and noodles and kd and apple juice. I'm hungry now for something more than carrot sticks and tacos.
