Holiday Countdown!

A week to go!  We leave for Vietnam next Thursday.  We've booked our flights straight out of Bangkok, leaving the morning after we arrive, to Hanoi, Vietnam.

We've decided to stay in the North, perhaps visiting the Meekong Delta and Ho Chi Minh City on our next trip.

The travel plan is to stay in Hanoi for a few days, head up to Sapa in the mountains near China, then over to Halong Bay and Hoi An.  I plan on doing a lot of eating, lounging, reading and swimming in pools and beaches.  I even bought a very cute, blue, polka dotted, 1950's-style, one-piece bathing suit for the occasion!
