On Friday I received my 2nd 'gold star' at work. Instead of a pay raise, a day off, a gift certificate for a massage or some other lovely token, my office hands out gold stars for a job well done. It is kind of sweet I suppose and is much better than not getting a thank you; so I should be grateful and I am.
Since January I've managed to get into the good books at work simply by just doing my job. It's nice having everyone really like you. We had another person resign and I've been told that I am next in line to take the senior role in my department. Not bad for someone who's been at this company for four months!
